Being Sons is pleased to offer the Rocky Mountain version of TRAILHEAD, a 5-day/4-night one-on-one exploration of the stunning San Juan Mountain Range. This expedition is crafted to cast a clear vision for authentic manhood and equip fathers and sons (age 14+) to discover and share the incredible journey of being sons of God, together. It’s the greatest adventure a father and son can share.

sunday - Day 1:

  • Registration & Check – In 4-6pm at Sky Ranch Ute Trail in Powderhorn, CO

  • Get some acclimatization

  • Dinner and Opening Campfire

monday - Day 2:

  • Depart camp early

  • Class III Whitewater Rafting on the Upper Taylor River

  • Get dropped off at the Trailhead

  • Go off-grid for 3 nights in the San Juans

tuesday - day 3:

  • Backcountry wilderness exploration

  • Campfire discussions

wednesday - day 4:

  • Backcountry wilderness exploration

  • Campfire discussions

thursday - DAy 5:

  • Emerge from the Wilderness (Better Men)

  • Departure

*Cost is $1,750 per father/son pair.

This trip is a one-on-one adventure for fathers (or father figures) to have with sons (or spiritual sons) and is limited to 6 father/son pairs. This adventure will require a moderate to high level of fitness and an adventurous spirit. To be clear, this expedition will be physically demanding, requiring every member carry a 45+ pound pack several miles with 2,500’ elevation gain at high elevation. Physical preparation and conditioning may be necessary and is strongly encouraged to receive the highest value from this amazing weekend. You will sweat. Some men have even cussed. But all have made it and felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment.

Trailhead Cost includes: All campsite fees, great cooked meals and snacks, all basic gear including sleeping bag + high quality insulated sleeping pad, tents, professional guide(s) for adventures, and all presentations and materials.
